What is hot stamping?

An image producing method that invoives a film carrying a thin leaf of colour that is transferred to a material using head and pressure. It is commonly used with gold or metallic leaf, but many colours, patterns and finishes lf leaf are available. It is especially popular for labels used int eh textile and apparel markets.
